Comments: Husband and wife at home - children have flown the nest. Visitors will have own room. Homestead is 5 mins walk from Whakatane town centre and beach 10 mins drive.

Activities: 200 dairy cows. Assist milking, feed calves (spring), little house work, gardens, general farm work. We supply farming clothes etc.
Comments: We have 2 young children in a new house on farm. Accommodation in a separate farm house on the farm, main meals provided at our house. Rotorua, Whakatane & Taupo (70 km, 45 min). We are well travelled: Europe, Africa, Asia, North & South America. * French speakers welcome, otherwise must be able to understand dairy farm language & instructions, to work efficiently.
Hobbies: Out-doors, nature walks, hot-pools, rugby.

Activities: Organic permaculture property & market garden for local markets. We teach workshops on permaculture, gardening & sustainability. Help with cooking, household chores, feeding animals (chickens, rabbits, pigs, ducks, geese) & garden work. Lots of little pr
Comments: 3 young children (who love hanging out with foreign visitors!) Stay in your own room in our home with shared bathroom. Wifi available. Be part of our family. We eat an organic, local diet mostly home grown. Can cater to vegetarians for a few days but not long stays. We can discuss pickups and drop offs with you. Activities: Organic gardening (veg, fruit & flowers) & kiwifruit orchard- not much to do as most is done by contractors; also grazing. May help to build barbeque area down by natural big swimming pool in river, help with gardening including weeding, digging, planting
Comments: Mid fifties couple and small spoilt dog. Eat organic home grown veg & fruit, soon our own meat. Happy to accommodate vegetarian. Stay in own room in the house - shared bathroom. We are very clean! River boundary - swimming pools & nice walks. 2min to State Highway 2, Katikati & Bethlehem 15min (shops, cafes & bar), Tauranga city 20 min, Mount Maunganui (surf beach) 30 min. Own car ideal but can pick up & drop off.

Activities: Dairy farm. Help with house chores, feeding animals, small farm duties, gardening, cleaning, general helping hand.
Comments: Friendly farming family with 3 generations. Own room, possibly do your own cooking. Whakatane 20 minutes. Beach, hot pools nearby. Large extended family living nearby, bring a sense of humour.
Hobbies: Gardening, cooking, swimming, fishing, family activities.

Activities: 140 cattle, mostly dairy, some beef, sheep, goats, horses, poultry, dogs & cats. Milking only for experienced helpers, otherwise house and garden work, farm and house maintenance, walking the dogs, help with drenching sheep and goats.
Comments: Basic knowledge of English or German needed. 4 teenagers at home. Helpers must like dogs. We are smoke and drug free. Straybus goes past our house or can pickup from Baybus at Murapara. * by negotiation maybe a family of 3 for a couple of days.
 
Omokoroa J & R H
Activities: Organic kiwifruit orchards and large farm garden with duck ponds. Most work in gardens eg weeding and mowing, chopping firewood etc but also some light orchard work.
Comments: Accommodation in the house. Tauranga 9 km. Omokoroa Beach and hot pools down the road.
Hobbies: Gardening collecting military models, guiding at The Elms Mission House in Tauranga, overseas travel and meeting overseas visitors.
 
Opotiki M H
Activities: 100 breeding cows, free range chickens, 1 rideable horse, 5 farm dogs cat. Year round help required. Trying to be organic. Varied work eg cleaning, gardening & general farm work. Learn 4 wheeler motorbike riding.
Comments: I live alone in the Waioeka Gorge Scenic Reserve. Vegetarians or meat eaters welcome. Pick up from bus at Opotiki 10 min away. Near horse riding, kayaking, nature walks, glow-worms, trout fishing, river swimming and beaches.
 
Opotiki AN
Activities: Small flock of sheep, a cow, 4 horses, rear pigs & keep chickens. Need a help with farm activities, gardening & building.
Comments: Stay in own room inside or outside in a caravan. Nearest town is Whakatane.
Hobbies: Hunting, horse riding, swimming, snorkelling.

Activities: Smallish pastoral dairy farm milking 170 Jersey cows, 2x/day. Old school type farm operation, focused on soil quality. Help with general farm activities, or family activity, gardening. Flexibility is the key to what is on the current agenda. Relaxed fun
Comments: Solo father with 2 youngest children alternate weeks & teenager at weekends. Splendid vista of Ohiwa Harbour. Whakatane 25 min, Opotiki 15 min, can collect. Near sandy beaches.

Opportunities to visit town & local sights.

Comments: Have own room & bathroom, meat & eggs from the farm. Spa for the tired body. Lake just down the road for the summer months. Pick up from Rotorua 40km.
Hobbies: Dog Obedience training/competition.
 
Taupo R&S H
Activities: 1200 cow dairy farm (computerised 50 bale rotary) and 2 dry stock units. 500 dairy heifers & 40 sheep. Seasonal farm work including calf rearing (spring) and working as a part of a great farm team in daily activities.
Comments: We have been farm hosts for over 20 years 2 adult sons live & work on the farm. Stay in private twin bedroom with own bathroom. Lovely home with Sky TV, tennis court etc. We can accommodate most diets with meat, milk and veges in season from the farm. Pick up from Taupo 10 min (16 km) or Wairakei Tourist Park & Huka Falls 5 min. You get to town for leisure. Near buses for Tongariro National Park and Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
Hobbies: Golf, tramping, tennis, swim & ski.
 
Taupo DL
Activities: Small lifestyle block. Cleaning free range chicken houses, pigs feeding, tree planting, gardening. General hand around house & farm.
Comments: Couple with no children at home. Can accommodate any special diets. Own room in our house. Can pick up from Taupo township 10 min. Near lots of tourist activities & mountains for skiing.
Hobbies: Yoga, animals, bush walking, hunting, reading, grandchildren & family.

Activities: Kiwifruit orchard. Primary work on orchard, Primarily, may include house/garden work.
Comments: 2 children at university. Visitors have own room. No smokers please. Tauranga CBD 10 min. Near lovely beaches for supreme surfing harbour & huge estuary, fishing, tramping in Kaimai ranges etc. Good bus system, happy to supply transport too.
Hobbies: Kayaking, tramping.
 
Tauranga T&D S
Activities: Eco-Tourism with accommodation, small flock sheep, rainforest tracks, glow-worms, 2 acre gardens. Tasks (6 hr/day): weed control, track maintenance, painting, pest control, gardening and lawn mowing.
Comments: No smoking - smoke free property. 3 teenage children. Visitor has own room in outside guest room with ensuite - no T.V. Tea/Coffee provided. Breakfast provided – sometimes other meals - microwave cooker available for use. All working guests receive evening glow worm tour. We have rainforest walks and tennis court. Tauranga 25 min, suits own transport as no bus route.
Hobbies: Conservationists, bush & bird lovers, health activists, singers, songwriters, musicians, trampers, sheep breeding.

Activities: Charter fishing boat business – daily trips fishing and sightseeing. Assist with cleaning and general maintenance. Opportunity to go on the trips at no charge. Also small self-contained homestay. Assist with cleaning, cooking if you enjoy that, gardening
Comments: We have 3 teenage children. We need an adaptable, outgoing, hardworking & willing person with initiative. Work about 6 hr/day with weekends free. We will show you around while you are here. Summer best time to visit. We live on the edge of Tauranga city which has night life, beach and a good bus service. We love meeting people and finding out about different cultures.

Activities: Horse Stud plus rare breeds: cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, water buffalos, bison, llamas, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits; also 8 dogs.Help with feeding and general animal care including care of baby animals; depends on time of year. Horses can be ridden.
Comments: I live alone but there are employees on the farm. Own room available. Nearest beach 10 min. Close to many cultural and tourist attractions. Can pick up from Whakatane 30 min. Rotorua Tauranga & Mount Maunganui 1hr. Would socialise with my children and grandchildren who are regular visitors.
Hobbies: Watching sport & animal activities.
 
Te Puke J&D B
Activities: Kiwifruit orchard, lifestyle block, pigs, cows, hens, sheep & cats. Help on orchard, vege gardening, housekeeping and builders welcome.
Comments: Our 2 teenagers home schooled by Juliette, who also assists for Landmark Worldwide. David is a boilerman, orchardist, fisherman & handyman. Accommodation in a caravan. Families considered – please supply your families breakfast & lunch as young children can't work; we'll supply the evening meal and accommodation. We prefer helpers 20+ with a mature outlook.We are non-smokers, and meat eaters. We prefer our teens hero’s (you) don't smoke. Maketu Beach 3km, Te Puke 10 min, Tauranga, Rotorua or Whakatane 45 min.
 
Tolaga Bay T&M T
Activities: Small family beef farm. Help with stock & general farm maintenance.
Comments: Couple with teenage son & pre-school children. Stay in separate cottage dwelling. Inland property, Tolaga Bay 20-30min. Surrounded by native bush & forestry, hunting access. Tolaga has great beach & bush walks.
 
Waikite Valley M&N B
Activities: Rearing bull calves till sale & sheep flock. Tasks: calf rearing, gardening, firewood, shifting electric fences & general farm maintenance.
Comments: 2 teenage daughters living at home, son away at university. We offer a separate room with shared bathroom facilities. Near tourist attractions, close to lakes, and geothermal attractions. Can pick up from Rotorua, our nearest town.
Hobbies: Supporting our children with sport & cultural activities, reading, cooking, walking & watching sport.
 
Waimana T P
Activities: Sheep and cattle plus 7 dogs, 8 horses & 12 chickens. Weeds, fencing general maintenance.
Comments: Visitors have own sleep out with separate shower and toilet.
Hobbies: Horse riding and fishing.
