Comments: Own double room in family home, share of family bathroom, laundry facilities and wifi. No smoking house. We have 3 children, we home school so children are around the house so you must like children. Help with meals and general tidying, dishes expected.

Comments: Teenage daughter at home when not at boarding school. Will have own cottage to stay in, swimming pool, close to Martinborough. Beautiful farm. Wellington 1 hr.
Hobbies: Farm horses are used for competition show-jumping, gardening.

Activities: Traditional farm: cattle, sheep and deer plus adventure tourism - horse trekking, chasm walks, a high ropes course and GolfCross to the public. Suit flexible people are happy to help home and farm, especially horse trekking (not neccessarily riding) -
Comments: Grown up children and grandchildren visit often. Own comfortable room in house and great farmstyle food. Pick up from Featherston (train) or Martinborough (bus). Scenic farm close to Martinborough. Local attractions: vineyards, bush and scenic coast.
Hobbies: Horses, GolfCross, confidence course, scenic walks and swimming in river.
Masterton MS&MO
Activities: Lifestyle farm - sheep, cattle and farm dogs. Seasonal tasks: gardening, firewood, fencing and helping around the house and yard.
Comments: Own room available (2 single beds). Pick up from bus-stop at Masterton (nearest town). 2 cats sometimes in at night, no dogs in house section. 5-6 hours per day also paid work for longer hours may be available also dependant on the time of year.
Masterton H M & W P
Activities: Sheep/beef farm. Gardening, sheep/cattle work, oil horse harness, light housework and pet lambs/calves in season.
Comments: 1-2 bedrooms available, pleasant restful outlook over Longbush Valley. Children have largely left home. 2-4 hours work – not overworked!
Hobbies: Rare breeds including Shropshire, Ryeland sheep; Red Poll cattle & Clydesdale horses.
Mauriceville L&N W
Activities: Breed and raise sport horses. Very busy in the Spring, Summer and Autumn periods and would be interested in hosting a confident horse handler/rider in return for assistance around the farm with the horses.
Comments: Relaxed couple with a young baby. Also have dogs, cats, sheep and cows. We live in a modest property and our house is quite small. Nearest town is Masterton (10 min away) can collect from bus or train.

Visitors have their own room and bath room upstairs, or can sleep in the sleep out if they prefer. Palmerston North & Masterton 40 min. Can collect from bus in Pahiatua or Woodville. Near Tui Brewery, Mount Bruce wildlife park, tramps and rivers.

Activities: Sheep (3000 ewes, 4000 lambs) & beef (300 cattle) farm with 10 working dogs & 6 chooks. Help with stock work (docking, drenching, dipping & dagging), haymaking, general maintenance - machinery, fencing, tractor work (topping), lawnmowing and gardening.
Comments: Parents live in homestead. Stay in sunny bedroom with own access to bathroom and outside in the other house with adult son. Other son works on the farm and lives in Palmerston North (30 min, pick up possible). Manawatu Gorge walk/Ballance café 10 min, Hawkes Bay & Wellington 2 hr. We have 2 house dogs & 2 cats. On river - swimming, eeling, fishing, boating, barbecues.
Hobbies: Tennis, boating, water activities, trail bike riding, hunting (duck/possum/rabbit), BBQ, rowing, gardening and walking.
