Activities: Help with horse grooming, riding and feeding, gardening, painting, repairs and maintenance, sheep and cattle work, fencing.
Comments: Married couple with 1 daughter at home during the summer for the polo season. Stay in self-contained 1 bedroom flat with an en suite and kitchen. Pick up from Gisborne 25km, beach is 15 min away.
Hobbies: Horses and polo.
 
Gisborne P&L S
Activities: Vineyard. Help with pruning (winter), thinning, bird netting etc. (summer - mid January).
Comments: Friendly, hardworking couple - family left home. Kiwi diet roasts, barbques, plain wholesome home cooking. Stay in large comfortable room in house with bathroom/laundry attached. Can pickup from town, 14 km; Easy to hitch a ride to town with neighbours. Swimming pool, bicycles & internet available.
Hobbies: Gardening, wines, travel, reading, TV, movies, most sports.
 
Gisborne H M
Activities: 1800 breeding ewes & 150 breeding cows. Help with animals/farm work, maintenance of fencing and buildings, gardening, housekeeping, and cooking. I can always find something you will be good at.
Comments: I am sole occupant & worker on this farm. Stay in your own room in main house. Access to internet and 021 Vodafone coverage. Near river to swim in, bush walks and sightseeing. Everything is a bit rustic so don't expect too much. *2 people travelling together or couples, no singles.
Hobbies: Horses, dogs, sheep, cattle, goats and everything in between.
 
Gisborne G&K H
Activities: Hill country sheep & cattle breeding & fattening operation. Stock work eg. drenching, spraying, injecting. Farm maintenance eg. fencing, spraying.
Comments: Separate sleepout for visitors, all meals are in the house with us. We don't cater for vegetarians. Rere waterfall & world renown Rere Rock Slide 2 min. Can pick up from bus at Gisborne 30 min. Golf course 15 min.
Hobbies: Waterskiing, tennis.
 
Tiniroto S C
Activities: Stock work sheep & beef, docking, fire wood, painting, gardening, clearing, cooking, looking after kids.
Comments: We have 3 preschool kids. No special diets we live pretty simple really. You will stay in our 2nd little house or a room off the main house.
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, heading down to Napier to visit family.
 
Tiniroto RM
Activities: 1800 ewes & 120 beef cattle. General farm duties, fencing, firewood, stock movements, gardening, cooking, general house duties & working with dogs etc.
Comments: Beautiful farm approx 35kms inland from Gisborne. You could have own self-contained private accommodation (with shower & toilet facilities). Happy for travellers to spend time with us.
Hobbies: Great swimming hole on the Hangaroa River beside the farm house - with bridge diving for those brave enough or catch a trout for tea. Tennis court for those that are interested and sensational walking and views to enjoy.
